At the request of the Commissioner of Fleet and Facility Management, I transmit herewith an ordinance authorizing the execution of a lease renewal agreement with 3500 Spaulding TMG.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1: On behalf of the City of Chicago as Tenant, the Commissioner of the Department of Fleet and Facility Management is authorized to execute a Lease renewal with 3500 Spaulding TMG, LLC, as Landlord, to permit the renewal of the lease agreement for occupancy of 74,549.3 square feet of vacant land located at 3500 North Spaulding Avenue to be used for salt storage by the Department of Streets and Sanitation; such Lease to be approved by the Commissioner of the Department of Streets and Sanitation and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel in substantially the following form:

FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE (this "Amendment") dated as of
, 2016 by and between 3500 SPAULDING TMG, LLC, an Illinois limited
liability company ("Landlord"), as successor in interest to Spaulding TMG, LLC, and THE CITY OF CHICAGO, an Illinois municipal corporation and home rule unit of government ("Tenant").

RECITALS
WHEREAS, Landlord and Tenant are parties to that certain Lease No. 13036 dated March 27, 2014 (the "Original Lease"), for the premises consisting of 131,084 square feet of vacant land located at 3500 North Spaulding Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (the "Original Premises"); and
WHEREAS, the Original Lease was terminated by Landlord effective August 31, 2014 pursuant to communication received by Tenant on June 25, 2014 and reinstated pursuant to Memorandum of Reinstatement dated June 27, 2014 (the Original ...
