RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Senator Andy Hill has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 54; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Washington, Senator Andy Hill was a widely admired member of the political community and the loving husband of Molly; and

WHEREAS, Senator Andy Hill was the much-adored father of Katie, Allie and Charlie to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Senator Andy Hill enjoyed a successful career as the key budget writer for the Washington State Senate; and

WHEREAS, A former Program Manager at Microsoft, Inc., Senator Andy Hill was elected in 2010 to represent the 45th legislative district and became Chairman of the Senate Ways and Means Committee in 2013; and

WHEREAS, Senator Andy Hill was known as a dedicated legislator who served with distinction and used his time in office to make Washington a better place to live; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Senator Andy Hill to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, Senator Andy Hill was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Senator Andy Hill imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this ninth day of November, 2016, do hereby commemorate Senator Andy Hill for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to

the family of Senator Andy Hill.
