CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MR. THOMAS REED LIBERTO ON ACHIEVING RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT
WHEREAS, Thomas Reed Liberto, outstanding young citizen of Chicago's northwest side, has been awarded scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this great achievement by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Liberto, a member of St. Edward Troop 904, has applied his energies and his talents to upholding the great standards and traditions of scouting. For his service project, Thomas planned, managed and conducted significant improvements to a community garden, adding benches built by scouts and adding flower boxes and planting containers; and
WHEREAS, Earning of the rank of Eagle Scout is the pinnacle of scouting and is an honor earned through the scout's commitment and dedication which exemplifies a model citizen; and
WHEREAS, Thomas represents the highest standards of youth in our great city of Chicago, in whom its leaders place so much hope and trust; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty second day of February 2017 do hereby offer our heartiest congratulations to Thomas Liberto on having achieved the exalted rank of Eagle Scout and extend to this fine young man our best wishes for a bright, happy and prosperous future; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Thomas Reed Liberto.
