BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO

The Rules of Order and Procedure of the City Council of the City of Chicago for the 2015 - 2019 term are hereby amended by adding a new Rule 59, as follows:

 

 

 

Sign Language Interpreter at Meetings.

RULE 59. Each meeting of the City Council that is open to the public, and each meeting of any Committee or Subcommittee of the City Council that is open to the public, shall include an American Sign Language interpreter, who shall be positioned so that he or she is in full view of the members of the public who are present, and who shall sign all proceedings conducted at each such meeting.
