BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO
Rules 3 and 58 of the Rules of Order and Procedure of the City Council of the City of Chicago for the 2015 - 2019 term are hereby amended by adding the underscored text and deleting the struck-through text, as follows:
RULE 3. A quorum for the transaction of business shall consist of a majority of the members of the City Council, including the Mayor. When a quorum is present the Council shall proceed to the business before it, which shall be conducted in the following order:
ORDER OF BUSINESS.
Quorum roll call and invocation.
Public comment.
2-7 3. Reports and communications from the Mayor and other City officers. 3r 4. Reports of standing committees. 4t 5. Reports of special committees. §r 6. Agreed calendar.
§r 7. Presentation of petitions, communications, resolutions, orders and ordinances by Aldermen.
7t 8. The reading of the Journal of the Proceedings of the last preceding meeting or meetings and correction and approval of the same, unless dispensed with by the Council, and correction of the Journal of the Proceedings of previous meetings. No Journal correction shall be considered unless approved by the Committee on Committees, Rules and Ethics. All proposed Journal corrections shall be submitted to the City Clerk, who shall distribute such proposed corrections to each Alderman.
