RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING NEW TABERNACLE OF FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH ON ITS 50™ ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church is celebrating its 50^th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been informed of this milestone by the Honorable Emma Mitts, Alderman of the 37^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church was established in 1967; and

WHEREAS, The Church originally held its first service on the first Sunday of July, 1967 at 1258 S. Sawyer held by the late Rev. Paul Jakes Sr.; and

WHEREAS, New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church has held many locations, 4750 W. Monroe and 4315 W. Madison, but as membership continues to increase the church recently moved to its current location at 531 N. Kedzie; and

WHEREAS, New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church is a source of spiritual strength to its members; and

WHEREAS, New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church is celebrating its 50^th Anniversary on June 24, 2017; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth day of June, 2017, do hereby congratulate New Tabernacle of Faith Baptist Church on its 50^th anniversary and wish the Church continued spirituality and fulfillment.
