RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING PETRA DAVIS
WHEREAS, Ms. Petra Davila is celebrating her retirement after years of service to Chicago and its youngest residents; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davila was a favorite of students, teachers, families and the community during her 22 years of service at Steinmetz College Prep; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davila was so committed to her students that she never, in 22 years of service was late to work; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davila has served the community outside of work, playing an active role at Saint Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Parish; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davila's plans to continue her service to the community with a special love for her two children and three grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Davila's may be leaving Steinmetz College Prep but her memory will forever serve as a guide for students, parents and teachers; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, assembled this twenty-eighth day of June, 2017, do hereby honor the great career and service of Ms. Petra Davila; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family members of Ms. Petra Davila as a token of our honor, gratitude and respect.
