Ordered, that the Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute a settlement agreement in the following matter: Delyn McKenzie-Lonez and Erica Lieschke, et al. v. the City of Chicago, a Municipal Corporation, cited as 15 CH 4802 (Circuit Court of Cook County, 111.) and Antoine Willis, et al. v. City of Chicago, a Municipal Corporation, cited as 16 CH 14304 (Circuit Court of Cook County, 111.). Proposed settlement amount: §26,750,000 and $12,000,000 in the extinguishment of debt owed the City.

Your Committee on Finance having had under consideration

 

 

Three (3) orders authorizing the Corporation Counsel to enter into and execute a Settlement Order for the following cases:

 

 

A.      Delyn McKenzie-Lopez and Erica Lieschke, et al. v. the City of Chicago, a Municipal Corporation, No. 15 CH 4802 (Circuit Court of Cook County, 111.)

 

and

 

Antoine Willis, et al. v. City of Chicago, a Municipal Corporation, 16 CH 14304 (Circuit Court of Cook County, 111.)

 

The settlement amount: $26,750,000 and $12,000,000 in the extinguishment of debt owed the City.
