Journal Correction for February 22, 2017 City Council Meeting
ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, On February 22, 2017, the City Council passed an ordinance (the "Ordinance") authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Transportation to take the actions necessary for the honorary designation of the 1200 through 1500 blocks of North Luis Munoz Marin Drive as "Oscar Lopez Rivera Way"; and
WHEREAS, Said Ordinance was published in the Journal of the Proceedings of the City Council of the City of Chicago (the "Journal") of February 22, 2017 and printed on pages 43874 and 43875; and
WHEREAS, The roll call vote printed in the Journal for passage of said Ordinance was incorrect; and
WHEREAS, To correct this error it is necessary to extract the Ordinance from its current page location in the Journal and to reinsert the Ordinance with the correct roll call vote to a new page location; now, therefore,
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. That the ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Chicago on February 22, 2017 and printed on pages 43874 and 43875 of the Journal authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Transportation to take the actions necessary for the honorary designation of the 1200 through 1500 blocks of North Luis Munoz Marin Drive as "Oscar Lopez Rivera Way" (O2017-110) is hereby corrected by deleting in its entirety the Journal entry for the Ordinance as printed on the twentieth line from the top of page 43874 through and including the fifth line from the top of page 43875 and inserting immediately after the fifth printed line from the top of page 43872 the following:
"HONORARY DESIGNATION OF 1200 THROUGH 1500 BLOCKS OF N. LUIS MUNOZ MARIN DR. AS "OSCAR LOPEZ RIVERA WAY".

Alderman Beale moved to reconsider the foregoing vote. The motion was lost.
The following is said ordinance as passed:
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to an ordinance heretofore passed by the City Council, which allows the erection of honorary street-name signs, the Commissioner of Transportation shall take the necessary action to designate the 1200 through 1500 blocks of North Luis Munoz Marin Drive as "Oscar Lopez Rivera Way".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication."
