At the request of the Budget Director, I transmit herewith a Year XLIII CDBG adjustment.

ORDINANCE


WHEREAS, On November 16, 2016 the City Council of the City of Chicago adopted the Year XLIII Community Development Block Grant Ordinance (the "Year XLIII CDBG Ordinance"); and

WHEREAS, The City, through its Department of Planning and Development ("DPD"), has generated an additional $535,769 in program income from its Developer Services program; and

WHEREAS, The City, through DPD, desires to spend the additional $535,769 program income for affordable housing activities including new construction and rehabilitation and homeownership; and

WHEREAS, The City, through DPD, desires to transfer $313,044 from the Roof and Porch Repair Program (RPFP) to the Emergency Heating Repair Program (EHRP) to provide additional heating repair services; now, therefore,


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1. The above recitals are expressly incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. The Year XLIII CDBG Ordinance, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in Exhibit A attached hereto.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
