A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE LATE PASTOR EUGENE L. GIBSON. SR. & MISSION OF FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH


WHEREAS, we ecstatically acknowledge the late Pastor Eugene L. Gibson, Sr., of Mission of Faith Baptist Church who served in the ministry with a mind of infinite wisdom and taught the scriptures as a courageous narrator of truth. The late Pastor Gibson Sr. birthed the Mission of Faith Baptist Church under the unction of the Lord and instruction of the Holy Scriptures at Brookins Funeral Home in September 1977; and

WHEREAS, it is written in the scriptures many are called but few are chosen, without hesitation, I know the Lord connected my father, Howard B. Brookins, Sr. and the late Pastor Eugene L. Gibson, Sr. for a purpose. They became the greatest of friends and ministered to the masses in their own divinely appointed ways. Families were able to feel a sense of peace because of their grave concern for others; and

WHEREAS, the congregants of Mission of Faith Baptist Church continues to value the work of the late Pastor Eugene L. Gibson, Sr. know the Lord honors your respect for the man who served diligently in the field. I am equally grateful for the Men of Valor who have committed their lives to serving the sheep since his passing. Today, I purposely recognize the former pastors: Reverend Michael L. Randle and Reverend Gregory Seal Livingston and the current leadership Pastor Johnny D. McClellan, Sr., for carrying on the work without complaint; and <
WHEREAS, the Mission of Faith Baptist Church shall continue its life-long journey of winning souls to the Lord, allow me to say, your labor is not in vain. So through every trial and tribulation run the race and do not faint. For this is the doctrine that the late Pastor Eugene L. Gibson, Sr. left for the church to follow; now and therefore
