BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

 

 

SECTION 1. Title 17 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by changing all the current B3-2 Community Shopping District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 9-G in the area bounded by:

the public alley next north of West Belmont Avenue; a line 148.00 feet west of Racine Avenue; West Belmont Avenue; and a line 198.00 feet west of Racine Avenue

to those of a B3-3 Community Shopping District.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and due publication.

The subject property consists of 6,050 square feet and is currently improved with a vacant two-story building and a surface parking lot. The Applicant proposes to rezone the property from a B3-2 Community Shopping District to a B3-3 Community Shopping District in order to construct a four-story mixed-use building containing approximately 1,770 square feet of ground floor commercial space, six residential dwellings units, seven automobile parking spaces, and no loading berth.
