RESOLUTION

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche was a widely admired member of the law enforcement community and the loving husband for 42 years of Mary, nee Stingley; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche was the much-adored father of Mary and the much-adored grandfather of three to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche was the dear brother of Ellen, Walter, Trudy and the late Paul; and

WHEREAS, A United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche served with the Chicago Police Department from which he retired as a Detective; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche was the former Director of Investigations for the Corporation Counsel Office; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his long and illustrious career, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche upheld the finest and most noble traditions of public service; and

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche serve as an example to all; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eighth day of November, 2017, do hereby commemorate Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence M. "Larry" Nitsche.
