ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Section 7-12-296 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby created, inserting the language below, as follows:

7-12-296       Good Samaritan rescuers of confined animals in unattended motor vehicles.

(a) Any person who, acting in good faith, rescues an animal confined in an unattended motor vehicle pursuant to section 7-12-295 shall not, as a result of his or her acts, be subject to any adverse action by the City of Chicago.
