SUBSTITUTE

ORDINANCE

 

 

SECTION 1. If an emerging business permit to engage in the business of mobile boutique operator has been issued under Section 4-4-022 of the Code, then the two-year permit term set forth in subsection (d) of Section 4-4-022 is hereby extended to June 15, 2019, subject to the condition that the permittee shall continue to operate under the conditions of operation authorized by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection when the original emerging business permit was issued.

 

 

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take full force and effect upon its passage and approval.

Your Committee on License and Consumer Protection, having under consideration a substitute ordinance introduced by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and Alderman Michele Smith (which introduced April 18, 2018), to extend the conditions to operate mobile boutique businesses under the emerging business permit issued under Section 4-4-022 of the Municipal Code of Chicago until June 15, 2019, begs leave to recommend that Your Honorable Body pass the substitute ordinance which is transmitted herewith.

 

This recommendation was concurred in by a viva voce vote of the members of the committee on May 22, 2018.
