SUBSTITUTE 2EDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Section 4-60-022 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck through, as follows:

4-60-022 Restrictions on additional licenses.

Subject to the provisions of subsection 4-60-021 (c), no additional license shall be issued for the sale of alcoholic liquor, for consumption on the premises within the following areas

(39.85)        On the northeast 6ide of North Eteton Avenue, from West Montrose Avenue to North Kennioott Avenue.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

Your Committee on License and Consumer Protection, having under consideration a substitute ordinance introduced by Alderman Margaret Laurino (which was referred on December 12, 2018), to amend Section 4-60-022 of the Municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection 4-60-022 (39.85) to allow the issuance of additional packaged goods licenses on portion of North Elston Avenue, begs leave to recommend that Your Honorable Body pass the substitute ordinance which is transmitted herewith.

This recommendation was concurred in by a viva voce vote of the members of the committee on, January 16, 2019.
