ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Section 9-103-070 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by adding the language underscored, and by deleting the language struck through, as follows:

9-103-070 Sunset provision.
The term ofthe pilot program shall be from May 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, provided, however, that if the City Council does not vote to terminate the program by December 31, 2018, then the program shall extend of its own accord in one-month increments until Jtme 3Q December 31. 2019.


SECTION 2. Article I, Section 2 ofthe Free-Floating Vehicle Provider Pilot Program, passed by the City Council on March 28, 2018, found at pages 74789 - 74800 of the City Council Journal ofthe Proceedings ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago of that date (Article I, Section 2 being found on page 74790) is hereby amended as follows by adding the language underscored and by deleting the language struck through as follows:

The Commissioner of Transportation, taking into account the Recitals, is authorized to authorize by contract execution, permit, or otherwise, one free-floating vehicle provider to implement the Free-Floating Vehicle Provider Pilot Program as established in Chapter 9-103 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, and to enter into and execute all such other instruments and to perform any and all acts, including the allocation and expenditure of duly appropriated funds, as shall be necessary or advisable in connection with the implementation of such contract, including any renewals thereto, or other form of authorization. The term ofthe pilot program shall be from May 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, provided, however, that if the City Council does not vote to terminate the pilot program by December 31, 2018, then the pilot program shall extend of its own accord in one-month increments until June 30 December 31, 2019.
