Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to SKY55, upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to maintain and use, as now constructed, twelve (12) Planter(s) on the public right-of-way for beautification purposes adjacent to its premises known as 1255 S. Michigan Ave
Said Planter(s) at S. Michigan Avenue measure(s):
One (1) at thirty-six point one six (36.16) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of two hundred thirty-five point zero four (235.04) square feet.
One (1) at thirty-six point zero eight (36.08) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of two hundred thirty-four point five two (234.52) square feet.
One (1) at thirty-five point eight three (35.83) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of two hundred thirty-two point nine (232.9) square feet.
One (1) at thirty-one point four two (31.42) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of two hundred four point two three (204.23) square feet.
'One (1) at twenty-six point three three (26.33) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of one hundred seventy-one point one five (171.15) square feet.
One (1) at twenty-nine (29) feet in length, and six point five (6.5) feet in width for a total of one hundred eighty-eight point five (188.5) square feet.
Said Planter(s) at E.- 13th Street measure(s):
One (1) at nineteen point three three (19.33) feet in length, and six point three three (6.33) feet in width for a total of one hundred twenty-two point three six (122.36) square feet.
Three (3) at six point three lhree;{6.33) feet in length, and six point three three (6.33) feet in width for a total of one hundred twenty point two one (120.21) square feet.
One (1) at seven point four two (7.42) feet in length, and seven point three three (7.33) feet in width for a total of fifty-four point three nine (54.39) square feet.
One (1) at seven point eight three (7.83) feet in length, and eight point seven five (8.75) feet in width for a total of sixty-eight point five one (68.51) square feet.

Grantee must allow the required clear and unobstructed space for pedestrian passage at all times per rules and regulations approved by the Department of Transportation.
The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office of the City Clerk.
Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Planning and Development and Department of Transportation (Division of Project Development).
This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #1138964 herein granted the sum of zero ($.00) per annum in advance.
A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date.
The permit holder agrees to hold the City of Chicago harmless for any damage, relocation or replacement costs associated with damage, relocation or removal of private property caused by the City performing work in the public way.

The applicant referenced above has requested the use of the public right-of-way for a planter(s). An ordinance has been prepared by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection - Small Business Center -Public Way Use Unit for presentation to the City Council. Because this request was made for properties located in your ward, as approved by you as per the attached, I respectfully request that you introduce the attached ordinance at the next City Counciljneeting.
