BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1. Title 17 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by changing all ofthe B3-3 Community Shopping District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 17-G in the area bounded by:

The public alley next north of West Lunt Avenue; North Glenwood Avenue; West Lunt Avenue; a line 70.0 feet west of and parallel to North Glenwood Avenue.

To those of a B3-5 Community Shopping District and an accompanying use district is hereby established in the area described above.

SECTION 2. This ordinance takes effect after its passage and due publication.

The Applicant requests a zoning change for the property located at 7000-7014 Glenwood Avenue from the B3-3 Community Shopping District to the B3-5 Community Shopping District in order to construct a six (6) story, seventy (70) foot tall transit-oriented, mixed-use development. The proposed building will have sixty (60) dwelling units on the upper floors, approximately 3,800 square feet of retail/commercial space and thirty-one (31) parking spaces located on the ground floor and basement levels. The proposed building is approximately 350 feet from the nearest CTA station and, accordingly, is a Transit Served Location eligible for a parking reduction by up to fifty (50) as of right.
