WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called June I. Crowley to her eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, June I. Crowley, 88, passed into eternal peace on April 24, 2019. She was lifetime resident of the southwest side of Chicago Clearing neighborhood. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bud" Crowley; devoted mother of Sharon Margaret Crowley; dear daughter of the late John T. "Jack" Sorfleet, Sr. and Isabelle Ann Meyer Sorfleet; fond sister of Grace E. (late A.J. "Dom") Cantone, the late John T. (late Eleanor) Sorfleet, Jr., the late William E. (late Frances) Sorfleet, and the late Ruth "Irene" Sorfleet; loving godmother of Robert A. Cantone and Thomas V. Sorfleet; aunt and great aunt of many. Avid lover of dogs, survived by her cherished, Candy. Lifetime member of Lake Michigan Beach Property Owners Association, longtime Judge of Elections, and lifetime member ofthe 13th Ward Democratic Organization; and

WHERAS, June I. Crowley leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-ninth day of May, 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of June I. Crowley and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of June I. Crowley.
