WHEREAS, Dominic DiFrisco has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Dominic DiFrisco, Dominic Beloved husband of Carol (nee Loverde); loving father of Nina (Robert) Mariano; proud grandfather of Pasquale Gianni; fond brother of Carmela Soricelli of New York and Louisa Termini of Texas; uncle and godfather to many. Dear friend to countless near and far; and

 

WHEREAS, Dominic DiFrisco proudly served as President of the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans where he worked to create the annual Dante Award and Filipo Mazzei Award; and

 

WHEREAS, Dominic DiFrisco played an important role in the effort to keep the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii open in the 1990V, and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Dominic DiFrisco to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor arid members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth of May 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Dominic DiFrisco and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dominic DiFrisco.
