City Council May 20, 2019
WHEREAS, Ginny Baker has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 62 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Ginny Baker, nee Gonsowski, lifelong resident of the south side of Chicago - Bridgeport neighborhood, cherished mother of Michael (Veronica) Baker, Jason Baker, Erica Arredondo (Joe Dondle), and the late Angelique Pauss", devoted grandmother to many who were her life.; fond daughter of the late Leo and Hazel Sorenson Gonsowski.; dear sister of Kenny Gonsowski, Ricky Gonsowski, Sonny Gonsowski, Pam Mangan, Linda Gonsowski, the late Tommy Gonsowski and the late Deedee Gonsowski; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and a grand host of close friends; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life .and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Ginny Baker to her family members, friends- and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now,, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth of May 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Ginny Baker and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ginny Baker.
