Ladies and Gentlemen:
At the request of the Budget Director, I transmit herewith a Fund 925 amendment. Your favorable consideration of this ordinance will be appreciated.

ORDINANCE


WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2019 of the City of Chicago ("2019 Appropriation Ordinance") (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Housing anticipated receiving 2019 grant funds by the Illinois Housing Development Authority ("IHDA") and appropriated $2,579,000 from Fund 925 - Grant Funds for the Abandoned Residential Property Municipality Relief Program (the "Abandoned Residential Property Municipality Program"); and

WHEREAS, the City received less state grant funds from IHDA than anticipated for the Abandoned Residential Property Municipality Program and appropriated, and IHDA now desires that the exact amount of the state award of $2,184,000 be appropriated; now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. The sum of $2,579,000 previously appropriated, representing a new grant award, appropriated from Fund 925 - Grant Funds for the year 2019 is hereby reduced by $395,000. The Annual Appropriation Ordinance is hereby amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in the attached Exhibit A which is hereby made a part hereof.

SECTION 2. To the extent that any ordinance, resolution, rule, order or provision of the Municipal Code of Chicago, or part thereof, is in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, the provisions of this ordinance shall control.
