City Council November 20th
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Albert Clement Engelbrecht has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 85 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Albert Engelbrecht beloved husband of Barbara Engelbrecht, nee Herman; devoted father of the late Kenneth Paul Engelbrecht and Diana (Michael) Korting; grandfather of Jessica Barry; dear stepfather of Robert Green and Kenneth (Dolores) Green; fond brother of Norma (Neil) Hawkinson; and
WHEREAS, Albert grew up in Hyde Park, was baptized at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, and spent most of his youth at the Museum of Science & Industry; and
WHEREAS, Albert worked for over 30 years as a market manager at National Tea Co, the last 47 years, he and Barbara lived in Calumet City, IL; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Albert Engelbrecht to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth of November 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Albert Clement Engelbrecht and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Albert Clement Engelbrecht.
