RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Greg Whitmarsh has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 61 to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Aldennan of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Greg Whitmarsh devoted son of the late Dorothy Whitmarsh; beloved brother of Bob (late Karen) Whitmarsh, Larry Whitmarsh, and Terri (Patrick C.P.D.,retired) Halpin; loving uncle of Jim Halpin, C.P.D., Amy (Gene) Janowski, and Stacy (Mark CPD.) Mendoza; dear great uncle of Riley, Sara, Aidan, Isabel, Ella, Aubrey, and Adalynn; also many friends and neighbors will mourn Greg's passing; and

 

WHEREAS, Greg Whitmarsh was a proud lifelong resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Greg Whitmarsh to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth of November 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Greg Whitmarsh and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Greg Whitmarsh.
