SECTION 1. Section 2-156-110 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck through and by adding the language underscored, as follows:

2-156-110 Interest in city business.

(b) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, no city official or employee who has contract management authority over any contract, work or business of the city shall have a financial interest in or derive any work-related cash or non-cash compensation from any entity person which is a contractor, subcontractor, or otherwise a party to that contract, work or business.

Having the same under advisement, begs leave to report and recommend that Your Honorable Body Pass the proposed substitute transmitted herewith.

 

This recommendation was concurred in by a unanimous vote of the members of the committee present with no dissenting votes.
