City Council February 19th, 2020
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Delia Tellez Perez has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Delia Tellez Perez, beloved wife of the late Antonio; loving mother of Anthony (Abby), Augustin (Gloria), Andrew (Laura), Jose (Elva), late Michael, Dolores, Alex and Elizabeth (Jimmy); dear grandmother of Augustin Jr., Nica, Liliana, Kyra, Victoria, Max, Chloe, Mia, Sam, Jimmy Jr., John, George, and Luke; great-grandmother of Isaiah. Delia was the youngest of seven, survived by Batrice, and aunt to many; and
WHEREAS, Delia enjoyed spending most of her time with family and had a strong faith in God; She loved paling cards and going to Bingo, especially with her children; She was a Chicago Sports fan and would watch any team play, even if it was the same game twice; She made the best flour tortillas but would prefer Popeye's chicken while watching the Price is Right or Family Feud anytime! She will be greatly missed but her children, grandchildren, great grandson, her sister Beatrice, and many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Delia to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this nineteenth of February 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Delia Tellez Perez and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Delia Tellez Perez.
