ORDINANCE

 

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. If an emerging business permit to engage in the business of selling prepackaged food and non-alcoholic beverages using a mobile cart within a City of Chicago airport has been issued under Section 4-4-022 ofthe Code, then, notwithstanding any language to the contrary in subsection (d) of Section 4-4-022, the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection is authorized to renew or reissue a permit to operate for an additional two-year period, subject to the condition that the permittee shall operate under the prior conditions of operation authorized by BACP when the original emerging business permit was issued.

 

If the permittee ofthe original emerging business permit to engage in the business of selling prepackaged food and non-alcoholic beverages using a mobile cart within a City of Chicago airport remained in compliance with the applicable conditions of operation signed and notarized by BACP, the Department shall: (1) renew or reissue such permit without any further action required by the permittee; (2) waive the permit fee that would otherwise apply in the case of renewal or reissuance; and (3) issue a new permit to the permittee with an expiration date two years from the date of renewal or reissuance.
