RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING ROSEMARIE "COOKIE" PATTON ON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Rosemarie "Cookie" Patton, a longtime public servant with the City of Chicago, is retiring from her role as a Payment Service Representative on February 28, 2020, after nearly three decades of dedicated service with the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this milestone by the Honorable Anna M. Valencia, City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Cookie began her employment with the City of Chicago on March 16, 1991 in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Having worked during the administrations of six Chicago City Clerks and three Chicago Mayors, Cookie remained steadfast in her efforts throughout the many changes to the Office of the City Clerk over the years; and
WHEREAS, Cookie took pride in her work and consistently provided diligent, efficient customer service; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Cookie's attentiveness and devotion to the residents of Chicago helped her build long-standing relationships with the fleet customers she served; and
WHEREAS, Cookie was widely regarded among her City Clerk colleagues as honest, hardworking, and always willing to chip in; and
WHEREAS, Cookie was passionate about her work even on the busiest days, and will always be known for her knowledge, candidness, and reliability; and
WHEREAS, Cookie built several lasting friendships during her time at the City Clerk's Office; ordering Punky's Pizza or Chinese food for lunch will not be the same without her; and
WHEREAS, Cookie will be missed by her friends and colleagues throughout the departments and offices of the City of Chicago; now, therefore
