Please introduce the attached Council Ordinance for a sign at property I own at 105 W. Chicago at the February 19, 2020 meeting of the Chicago City Council. As is customary, this Order is to be referred to the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building Standards for a hearing by the Committee at its next available date.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:

SECTION 1: That the Commissioner of Buildings is hereby authorized and directed to issue a sign permit to J & B Signs Inc., for the erection of a digital display sign/signboard over 24 feet in height and/or over 100 square feet (in area of one face) at 105 W. Chicago Ave., Chicago, Illinois, 60654, with the dimensions, height and square foot area as follows:

Dimensions: length 10 feet; height 10 feet Total Square Foot Area: 100 square feet Height Above Grade to Top of Sign: 28 feet


Notwithstanding any provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago, including the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, to the contrary, the Commissioner of Buildings is hereby directed and authorized to issue a sign permit to the address referenced within this Ordinance.


SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and due publication.
