WHEREAS, Simon Esp Gonzalez Has Been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 78 to his eternal reward; and !
WHEREAS; The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11 th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Beloved husband of Sara Martinez; loving father of Juanita (Jose) Diaz, Carlos (Leti), Julio Sr. (Rhonda), Ernesto (Kerry), Simon Jr. (Lisa), Theodore (Raquel), Dairo (Maria) and Sara Alicia (Robert); cherished grandfather of Jasmene, Jade, Jayce, Brianna, Cristian, Alexandria, Julio Jr., Nickolis, Matthew, Megan and Robert; adored great-grandfather of Matrix; devoted son of the late Ernesto and the late Simona; dear brother to many; fond uncle to many.; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Simon to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore j

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered-here this twenty second of July 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Simon Esp Gonzalez and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
