At the request ofthe Commissioner of Assets, Information and Services, 1 transmit herewith ordinances authorizing the execution of lease agreements.

ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1: On behalf of the City of Chicago as Landlord, the Commissioner of the Department of Assets, Information & Services is authorized to execute a Lease renewal with Sweet Water Foundation, as Tenant, for use of the properties located at 5700-5728 South Lafayette Avenue, 5701-5729 South Perry Avenue, 5736-5750 South Perry Avenue, 5737-5741 South Perry Avenue, and 5749 South Perry Avenue for urban agriculture and as an urban educational farm; such Lease to be approved by the Commissioner of the Department of Planning and Development, and as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel in substantially the following form:

AMENDED AND RESTATED LEASE

THIS AMENDED AND RESTATED LEASE(the "Lease") is made and entered into

OF CHICAGO, an Illinois municipal corporation and home rule unit of government ("City"), andSWEET WATER FOUNDATION,an Illinois not-for-profit corporation ("Tenant"). City and Tenant are sometimes jointly referred to as the "Parties."

RECITALS

WHEREAS,the City is the owner of the real properly legally described on Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto (the "Premises"), which is comprised of four parcels as follows:

Parcel 1: approximately 63,639 square feet of land located at 5700-5728 South Lafayette Avenue/5701-5729 South Perry AvenuefPTNs 20-16-214-028 and -029);

Parcel 2: approximately 14,987 square feet of land located at 5736-5750 South Perry Avenue(20-16-219-035 through -040);
