ORDINANCE

JOURNAL CORRECTION FOR July 22, 2020 CITY COUNCIL MEETING

WHEREAS, On July 22, 2020, the City Council of the pity of Chicago passed substitute ordinance SO2020-2862, which amends Chapter 5-12 of the Municipal Code of Chicago by modifying iandlord notification requirements for termination or non-renewal; of a rental agreement and by allowing tenants to exercise_;a one-time right to cure a failure to pay rent; and

WHEREAS, It was later discovered that a technical error due to an oversight was made in SO2020-2862, which was printed in the Journal of the Proceedings of trie City Council of the City of Chicago, Illinois for the regular meeting held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, on; pages 18934 through 18937; and

WHEREAS, It is necessary and advisable to correct said error; now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1i SO2020-2862 is hereby corrected by deleting "90" appearing on the third line from the bottom of page 18937 and inserting "120" in lieu thereof.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect following due passage and approval, and. shall be deemed to apply retroactively to the effective, date of SO2020-2862.
