WHEREAS, From time to time vehicle used by the City of Chicago become outdated or obsolete and are replaced: and
WHEREAS, Such vehicles may nonetheless have useful service in them, and could be of great use and value to another entitv: and
WHEREAS, The City's Department of Assets. Information and Services from time lo lime has in ils possession vehicles thai, while in> longer usclul ;o ihe Cily. could be of significant use elsewhere and
WHEREAS, Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation is in need of a shuttle bus, now. therefore.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C ITY OE C HICAGO:
Section 1. The Commissioner of Assets. Information and Services is hereby authorized to donate one obsolete shuttle bus no longer useful to ihe City of Chicago as such vehicle may become available to Elderly Mousing Development and Operations Corporation or its designees, free and clear of any liens or encumbrances. The City shall comey said vehicle in ":as is'r condition without any warranties eilher expressed or implied and expressly excludes any warranty of merchantability and Illness for a particular propose.
SECTION 2. The Commissioner of Assets. Informaiion and Services is herein authorized to enter into and execute such other documents as may he necessary and proper to implement ihis donation.
