RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Dennis J. O'Hare, Sr. has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 92 to his eternal reward; arid

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Aldennan of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Dennis J. O'Hare, Sr., Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Fleming); devoted father of Denise (Bill) Rush, Dennis Jr. (Judy); Lynn (Stan) Kawczynski, and Nancy (Marty) Herbeck; loving grandfather of Sean (Amie) Rush; Stacy Rush, Kerry Esquivel, Ryan (Jessica) O'Hare, Jennifer O'Hare, Kaitlyn (Christopher) Ryske, Phillip Kawczynski, Connor and Riley Herbeck; big papa of Cory, Sara, Gael, Allen Jr., Kadee, and Izaak; fond brother to Patricia (the late James, retired CPD) Cesak, Mary Margaret (the late Robert, retired CFD) Stevens, Kathleen (John) O'Connell, Eileen (Ed) Farnan, the late Arthur, the late Jack, retired CFD (Catherine), the late Thomas, retired CPD, the late William, and the late Gerald (Mary Ann); loving son ofthe late Arthur and Margaret (nee Lavery); cherished brother-in-law to the late William, retired CFD, (the late Jeanne) Fleming, Marilyn Morales; and Bette O'Hare; dear uncle to many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and

 

WHEREAS, Dennis was a retired CPD and Navy Veteran; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Dennis to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty second of July 2020, dp hereby express our sorrow on the death of Dennis J. O'Hare Sr and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Dennis J. O'Hare Sr.
