RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Linda Hamniersmith has been called to eternal lite by the wisdom of God at the age of 56 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of.the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS,Linda Hammersmith, beloved partner of Jim Scott, of 35 years; loving mother to Angela Scott; Devoted daughter to Edward and Margaret Hammersmith; Sister to Gloria (Frank) Piantek and two brothers, Terry (Emma) Hammersmith and Eddie Hammersmith; Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Alice (Melvin) Cook; and
WHERE AS, Linda loved her Cubbies, the friends of the community she worked for, and volunteering at BC A for ten plus years; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Linda to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty third of November 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Linda Hammersmith and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BEIT FURTHER RESOLVED, Thai a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Hammersmith.
