City Council November 23rd, 2020
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Gerald S. Monahan, has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 60 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago Gity Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Aldennan of the ! 1 th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Gerald S. Monahan, Cherished father of Jessica Monahan (Desiree Monahan) and Jerald Monahan (Tiffany Rangel, fiance') and James Aihern; proud grandfather of Brieanne, Gianna and Jaxon, loving brother of Kathleen Monahan-McHugh (Michael McHugh), James and the late Michael (Catherine) Monahan; beloved son of the late Gregory and Sandra, nee Hall; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
WHEREAS, Gerald a lifelong resident of Chicago, Jeny was an excellent cook, gardener,and all around Mr. F ix.it; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Gerald to his family , members, friends.and all whd kriew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty third of November 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Gerald S. Monahan and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
