RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Police Officer Janice Jones has received several commendations and honorable mentions during her tenure with the University of Chicago Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Janice Jones' greatest passion was working with the homeless population; and
WHERE AS, throughout her twenty-four (24) years of police work, Police Officer Janice Jones found her passion by providing the same type of heartfelt service to people that she would want extended to any of her family members; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Janice Jones' most memorable moment was when she worked with the Chicago Police Department, recovering stolen artifacts from a museum that were found at a Rush Street beauty parlor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 24th day of March,, 2021, do hereby honor the community service of Nineteen (19) Years by POLICE OFFICER JANICE JONES, and extend our congratulations on her Retirement from the University of Chicago Police Department, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that-suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Police Officer Janice Jones as a sign of our good wishes.
