RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton has received several commendations and honorable mentions for exemplary work at the University of Chicago Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton worked in the Patrol Division for seventeen (17) years, and worked as a Sergeant for fifteen (15) years where he was often-times assigned as the Watch Commander; and
WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton decided to return to the Patrol Division in order to become a caregiver for one of his parents; and
WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton made several felony arrests during this time for robberies and burglaries in the Hyde Park community; and
WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton rescued several people from burning buildings, cars, and on several occasions conducted life-saving measures that saved peoples' lives; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 24th day of March, 2021, do hereby honor the community service of Thirty-Two (32) Years by PATROL OFFICER MARCUS McCLINTON, and extend our congratulations on his Retirement from the University of Chicago Police Department, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Patrol Officer Marcus MeClinton as a sign of our good wishes.
