RESOLUTION - WHOLE FOODS Inc.
WHEREAS, Whole Foods workers are organizing in protest of how Whole Foods Inc., owned by Amazon, is handling the health and safety of their workers during the COVID-19 pandemic; and,
WHEREAS Despite the continued pandemic, Whole Foods Inc. has reduced protections for these essential workers who are on the front lines, denying hazard pay, denying health benefits to part time employees, and disallowing 15 min breaks; now therefore

That we, the undersigned members ofthe City of Chicago City Councirhereby support Whole Foods Workers' demands that the company: Reinstate hazard pay, and pay it retroactively beginning from June 1, 2020; reinstate health benefits to part time employees; and reinstate 15 minute breaks for employees.
