BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Section 9-110-150 of the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and inserting the language underscored, as follows:

9-110-150 Operating regulations.

(d) Resetvedr No person operating a pedicab oh the public way shall employ any device or instrument that amplifies sound, including, but not limited to. anv loudspeaker, bullhorn, amplifier, public address system, radio or device that plays recorded music, to generate any sound for the purpose of communication or entertainment, except between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. while such pedicab is actively providing transportation to passengers.
