Be It Ordained by the City Council ofthe City of Chicago:

 

SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to WORP/625 ADAMS LLC upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to maintain and use, as now constructed, twelve (12) Caisson(s) under the public right-of-way adjacent to its premises known as 625 W ADAMS ST.

Said Caisson(s) at W Adams Street measure(s)::

One (1) at twelve point two five (12.25) feet in length and twelve point two five (12.25) feet in width for a total of one hundred fifty point zero six (150.06) square feet.

One (1) at twelve point five (12.5) feet in length and twelve point five (12.5) feet in width for a total of one hundred fifty-six point two five (156.25) square feet.

 

Said Caisson(s) at Public Alley measure(s):

One (1) at seven point nine two (7.92) feet in length and seven point nine two (7.92) feet in width for a total of sixty-two point seven three (62.73) square feet.

Two (2) at eleven point one seven (11.17) feet in length and eleven point one seven (11.17) feet in width for a total of two hundred forty-nine point five four (249.54) square feet.

Five (5) at eleven point seven five (11.75) feet in length and eleven point seven five (11.75) feet in width for a total of six hundred ninety point three one (690.31) square feet.

One (1) at nine.point eight three (9.83) feet in length and nine point eight three (9.83) feet in width for a total of ninety-six point six three (96.63) square feet.

One (1) at five point six seven (5.67) feet in length and five point six seven (5.67) feet in width for a total of thirty-two point one five (32.15) square feet.

The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office of the City Clerk.

 

Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Transportation (Division of Project DevelopmentDepartment of Transportation (Division of Project Development) and Department of Planning and DevelopmentDepartment of Transportation (Office of Underground Coordination), Department of Transportation (Division of Project Development), and Department of Planning and DevelopmentDepartment of Planning and Development and Department of Transportation (Office of Underground Coordination).

This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.

The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #BACP1579263 herein granted the sum of four hundred ($400.00) per annum in advance.

A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date.

The permit holder agrees to hold the City of Chicago harmless for any damage, relocation or replacement costs associated with damage, relocation or removal of private property caused by the City performing work in the public way.

Authority herein given and granted for a period of five (5) years from and after 07/26/2021.

Re: An ordinance to use and maintain a portion ofthe public right-of-way for 12 Caisson(s) for WORP/625 ADAMS LLC, adjacent to the premises known as 625 W ADAMS ST.

The applicant referenced above has requested the use of the public right-of-way for Caisson(s). An ordinance has been prepared by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection - Small Business Center - Public Way Use Unit for presentation to the City Council. Because this request was made for properties located in your ward, as approved by you as per the attached, I respectfully request that you introduce the attached ordinance at the next City Council meeting.
