Dear Clerk Valencia:

Pursuant to Section 2-8-010 of the Municipal Code of Chicago and Section 3.1-40-25 ofthe Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/3.1-40-25), the undersigned Alderpersons of the City of Chicago do hereby call a Special Meeting of the City Council, to be convened on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Provisions for remote participation and viewing by members of the public shall be made.

In the interest of promoting transparency and ensuring that the voting rights of all City residents are preserved with care during the decennial Ward redistricting process, a Special Meeting of the City Council is called for the following purposes and no other:

• For the. immediate consideration, debate, and possible action on Ordinance Number 02021-4835, Amendment of Municipal Code Chapter 2-8 by replacing Sections 2-8-300 through 2-8-810 regarding redistricting of City Wards.
