ORDINANCE

JOURNAL CORRECTION

 

 

Whereas, On October 6,2020, the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards of the City Council met to consider an ordinance changing C1 -2 Neighborhood Commercial District to Cl -5 Neighborhood Commercial District for the property generally located at 3501 -3519 North Halsted; and

Whereas, At the committee meeting on October 6,2020, a substitute ordinance was offered and accepted by the committee in lieu of the original ordinance, and the committee considered and recommended passage October 6,2020, (S02020-2375); and

Whereas, Because of an administrative error, the document that was reported out of the committee to the City Council during the City Council meeting on October 7,2020, then transmitted to the City Clerk and published in the Journal of Proceedings of the City Council of the City of Chicago for the regular meeting held on October 7,2020, on page 22011, was not the final and complete ordinance; and

Whereas, The ordinance transmitted to the City Clerk was the incorrect, not the final version that was noticed, and published prior to the hearing; and

Whereas, It is necessary to correct this error striking the ordinance printed in the October 7, 2020, Journal of Proceedings and replace it with this ordinance which supersedes 02020-2375, because it is accurate and complete; now, therefore,

 

 

BEIT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect following due passage and approval, and shall be deemed to apply retroactively to the effective date of O2020-2375. Section 2.02020-2375 is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety with the following:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. The Chicago Zoning Ordinance, be amended by changing all of the Cl-2, Neighborhood Commercial District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 9-F in the area bound by:

 

a line 208.39 feet north of and parallel to West Cornelia Avenue; the public alley next east of and parallel to North Halsted Street; the public alley next north of and parallel to West Cornelia Avenue; a line 100 feet east of and parallel to North Halsted Street; West Cornelia Street; and, North Halsted Street.

 

to those of aCl-5, Neighborhood Commercial District.

 

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective after its passage and publication.
