BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO

SECTION 1. Pursuant to an ordinance heretofore passed by the City Council
which allows erection of honorary street-name signs, the Commissioner of Transportation shall take the necessary action for standardization of the of North Laramie Avenue, between West George Street (2900 North) and West Wellington Avenue (3000 North) as "Camerino Landa Way."


SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication.

OBITUARY
Camerino Landa - Born on August 21st of 1943, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 13th of 2020
Camerino Landa was one of the oldest of his siblings, because of this he felt compelled and responsible to care and help those around him. Assisting his friends and family members with jobs as they slowly migrated into the U.S He came to live in Chicago striving for the American dream. He had resided with his family in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood since 1995. Eager to work and not wanting his family to struggle, he worked two jobs to support his wife and 5 kids. Camerino would put his family's needs first before his and ultimately his health suffered the consequence. At the young age of 32 he suffered a stroke and was physically unable to work. However, his disability did not stop him from being a courageous, selfless and an admirable man in the eyes of his family and community. He was well know...
