RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Violet M Savocchia has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 98 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Violet "Vi" Savocchia; Veteran U.S. Army WWII; beloved daughter ofthe late Donato and late Irene Savocchia; loving sister of the late Ancy (late Lucille) Savocchia; cherished aunt of Daniel (Mary) Savocchia. and Kathleen (late Kenneth) Murrow; dear great-aunt of Rebecca and Thomas Murrow. Upon graduating from Nursing School Vi joined the Army Nurse Corp in WWII stationed in the South Pacific. After returning home she began a 30 year career at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital (now Rush) in Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Violet M Savocchia to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-six of January 2022, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Violet and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Violet.
