ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Title 2 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended deleting Chapter 2-172 in its entirety and replacing it with a new Chapter 2-172, as follows:
CHAPTER 2-172 PUBLIC OFFICIAL USE OF FORCE TRAINING
2-172-010 Use of Force Test.
All officials, members, and employees of the Chicago Police Board, Civilian Office of Police Accountability, and Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability and the members of the City Council Committee on Finance shall be required to annually take the Use of Force standardized test administered to police recruits. The results of such tests shall be published on a City website created by the Department of Assets, Information and Services for this purpose.
2-172-020 Use of Force Simulator Training.
All officials, members, and employees of the Chicago Police Board, Civilian Office of Police Accountability, and Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability and the members of the City Council Committee on Finance shall be required to undergo use of force training in a virtual simulator no later than 90 days after the effective date of this ordinance. All such individuals must wear a functioning body camera that is turned on during the session. The video of the training session shall be published on a City website created by the Department of Assets, Information and Services for this purpose.
2-172-030 Penalties for violation.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter, unless such person has a bona fide medical reason for not complying, shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $100 for each offense.


SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect 10 days after passage and publication.
