ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 2-8-040 of the Municipal Code of Chicago; which allows erection of honorary street name designations, the Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Transportation shall take the necessary: action for standardization of South Kedzie Avenue, between South 77th Street and West Columbus Avenue as "Honorary Pastor Gicele Wray-Lindley, Way."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication.

Pastor Gicele Lindley endearingly known as Pastor Gigi, was bom in Colon Panama and comes from a humble ministry family: Gicele is the oldest daughter of Founding Pastors Esteban and Isabel Wray. At the age of 5, Gicele gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Fai th . Gicele later developed a gift for singing and at the" age of 7, started singing solos at church. By age % she started leading praise and worship on Sunday mornings. By the age of 13, Gicele became the choir director and youth leader.
At the age of 14, Gicele began,working in her,high school choir as a lead soloist. At the age of 21, Gicele Lindley received prophetic confirmation of her ministry. She was ordained as an Evangelist, at the age of 23.
Pastor Gicele Wray-Lindley is a graduate from the, University of Illinois at Chicago with a
Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She: cornpleted a;
Masters' Degree in Human Services Administration and most recently completed a Masters in
Non-Profit Management and Organizational Leadership. Pastor Gicele is currently pursuing her
Doctorate of Education in Ethical Leadership.
Gicele is also the founder and CEO of the Shining Star Youth and Community Services/Shining Star Early Learning Centers, a successful multi-center child care operation that provides quality early learning to 389 children and employment to over 100 people.
Pastor Gicele is married to the love her life Omar Lindley. God has tremendously blessed this couple to work together as a ministry team. The two have traveled extensively ministering the word ofthe Lord. God has allowed Pastor Gicele to travel with her husband Omar in recent years to minister iri several Latin American countries including (Costa Rica, Peru, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Panama, and Argentina). Gicele and Omar have also traveled and ministered in Brazil,: the African Continent and in several US states.
Pastor Omar and Gicele Lindley are the proud parents of two daughters Serenity Blessing and Heavenly Blessing.
Pastor Gicele was honored and respected by the 18th Ward where she served and assisted in numerous capacities developing an impactful partnership and friendship.
