ORDINANCE

 

WHEREAS, Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago was amended to disallow the issuance of additional package goods licenses on Halsted Street, from 81st Street to 84th Street, under subsection 21.56, by the passage of Ordinance 02018-8016, which was published in the Journal ofthe Proceedings for the meeting held on November 14, 2018, on pages 91286 through 91287; and

WHEREAS, Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago was later amended to insert an identical moratorium, under subsection 21.323, by the passage of Ordinance SO2019-5573, which was published in the Journal ofthe Proceedings for the meeting held on September 18, 2019, on pages 5381 through 5414; and

WHEREAS, Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago was later amended to delete subsection 21.323, with the intent of lifting the moratorium at the stated location, by the passage of Ordinance 02021-4129, which was published in the Journal ofthe Proceedings for the meeting held on November 17, 2021, on pages 41300 through 41301; and

WHEREAS, It is necessary and proper to delete subsection 21.56 in order to effectuate the intent ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago; now, therefore,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. Section 4-60-023 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the text struck through, as follows:

 

4-60-023 Restrictions on additional package goods licenses.

 

Subject to the provisions of subsection 4-60-021 (c), no additional package goods license shall be issued for any premises located within the following areas:
