ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Section 9-64-060 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck through and by inserting the language underscored, as follows:
9-64-060 Snow removal.
(a) For the purpose of facilitating snow removal, the commissioner of transportation is authorized to erect and maintain signs prohibiting the parking of vehicles on any street or streets within the city between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from December 1st of any year to March 31st ofthe following year and to further designate such street or streets as "tow zones." It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on any street in violation of a sign erected or maintained pursuant to this section.
(Jo) A city ticketing agent shall issue a warning notice for the first violation of this section. The warning notice, in addition to other pertinent information, shall state that the vehicle was parked in violation of this section and any subsequent violation of the section shall result in the issuance of a citation. After a warning notice has been issued pursuant to this subsection, any subsequent violation of this section by the person to whom such warning notice has been issued shall be subject to the penalties provided in this Code.
